These mahogany boxes hold recipes and CDs.

The recipe box on the left is built with 3/8" box joints, and the CD box has asymmetric 8mm and 16mm box joint fingers. Both boxes are finished with SealCoat shellac on the inside and Minwax Polycrylic water base on the outside.

The CD box evolved from this simple baltic birch prototype with plexiglass dividers.

After I build the prototype, I sized the mahogany box so that the CDs could be arranged in either direction:
