This workbench is a modification of the design shown in the July 2000 issue of Fine Woodworking. It's made from softwood, so it's not really heavy enough. The removable panels in the top are MDF. The beam on the pipes is an adjustable planing beam. The beam and removable panels have proven to be very handy.
